The Adhesives & Sealants Association (BASA) was pleased to participate in the FEICA World Adhesive & Sealant Conference and Expo (WAC) 2026, held in London, bringing together industry leaders, technical experts and stakeholders from across the global adhesives and sealants sector.

As part of the programme, BASA Chief Executive Officer, Lorna Williams, joined fellow association representatives during the Regional Updates session, providing delegates with valuable insight into developments within the UK market and the wider regulatory and commercial landscape facing the industry.

The conference opened with an address from FEICA President Stuart Jenkinson, formerly BASA Vice-Chair and currently with H.B. Fuller. His keynote presentation, "Reinventing the Future", set the tone for discussions throughout the event, focusing on innovation, sustainability and the future direction of the adhesives and sealants industry.

A key contribution from BASA came through Lorna Williams' presentation, "Between Alignment and Autonomy: Navigating the UK Adhesives & Sealants Market in an Era of Regulatory Uncertainty." The session explored the challenges and opportunities facing UK businesses as they navigate an evolving regulatory environment, offering delegates a comprehensive overview of the current landscape and potential future developments.

Alongside the conference programme, WAC 2026 provided numerous opportunities for networking and international collaboration. BASA representatives attended FEICA events including the Members' Dinner at the House of Lords, where industry colleagues from across Europe and beyond gathered to strengthen relationships and exchange perspectives on shared industry priorities.

The accompanying Expo showcased organisations from throughout the global supply chain, including a number of BASA member companies. The exhibition provided an excellent platform for delegates to discover new technologies, discuss emerging market trends and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

Reflecting the international nature of the event, discussions throughout WAC 2026 focused on many of the key issues shaping the future of the sector, including regulatory developments, sustainability, innovation, technology advancement and market opportunities across different regions of the world.
