BCF/BASA Webinar: Key Changes in ADR 2027

02 November 2026 (10:00 - 11:00) (GMT)

Description

The Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) is revised every two years to reflect technological developments, lessons learned from incidents, new transport methods, and updates adopted within the United Nations Model Regulations. The transport regulations continue to evolve, adapting to technological innovation, and lessons learned from real-world incidents.  ADR 2027 continues this process and introduces amendments to ADR from the UN Model Regulations.

Whilst ADR 2027 officially enters into force on 1 January 2027, under the transitional measures dangerous goods may be carried in accordance with ADR 2025 until 30th June 2027.  Member companies should begin preparations to understand the changes to ensure sufficient time to comply with the changes.

Caroline Raine of BASA and Kathryn Tearle of BCF will hold a joint webinar on Monday 2nd November from 10:00 – 11:00 am to cover the key changes in ADR 2027, including

  • Improved Provisions for Empty Uncleaned Packagings.
  • Improvements to clarify transport documentation requirements, including an update to the Instructions in Writing
  • Clarification concerning training provisions to improve consistency throughout Europe
  • A new transitional provision for mixtures containing biocides  classified as UN3082
  • Changes for lithium and sodium-ion batteries

You will receive joining instructions after registering.
