UK Chemicals Trade Mission to India - March'25

UK Chemicals Trade Mission to India - March'25

Indian Chemical Council (ICC), a leading Industry association in the sector in India, is organising the Annual Chemical Industry Outlook Conference on 4 and 5 March 2025. This is an excellent networking event to meet and engage with key players in the sector. Last year we had a large UK Chemical Industry delegation which besides UK companies had representations from Chemical Industry Association (CIA) and Chemical Business Association (CBA). Liam Condon, Group Chief Executive, Johnson Matthey was the keynote speaker.

In case you are interested in meeting leading Indian chemical manufacturers it will be a good platform. CEOs and other senior decision makers attend this event.

Dr. N Sreeram, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President - Research & Development, DOW and Chris Musso, Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company have kindly agreed to be the keynote speakers on Day 1 of the Conference. ICC has invited Matthias Zachert, CEO, Lanxess AG to be the Keynote Speaker on Day 1 of the Conference. See attached the conference brochure more information.

The delegates are expected to bear the cost of their visit though through the event sponsorship, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) sponsorship will have limited complimentary passes which otherwise cost US$370 per delegate.

The tentative programme for the UK trade mission in Mumbai will be :

Sunday, 2nd March – Delegates arrive in Mumbai.

Monday, 3rd March – Common Group programme (company visits/meetings – will be arrange by DBT keeping in view the overall UK group composition)

Tuesday and Wednesday (4th and 5th March) - Attend ICC conference; opportunity for B2B meetings, networking, and potential participation in CEOs Forum and to be invited as speakers for select UK delegates ( Once we share the profiles of the UK delegates, will encourage ICC to invite relevant UK delegates for speaking slots in consultation with McKinsey)

The UK delegates could return immediately or plan and organise other meetings/regional visits in India. Please note that those interested will have to apply for an Indian visa to travel to India.

In view of the timing, we would greatly appreciate if you could send us your interest in participating in the UK Chemicals trade mission to India by Friday, 24th January, so that it helps us plan the UK participation at the ICC conference.
