Back in 2021, Defra made a commitment to explore alternative arrangements for UK REACH transitional registrations to minimise costs for businesses following the end of the Brexit transition period. Whilst the Alternative Registration Model (ATRm) is still under review, it is expected that the final information requirements will not exceed those outlined in last year’s public consultation. Meanwhile, the existing deadlines for transitional registration will be extended to give time to finalise the model and provide a suitable transition period.
